Re: [IRCA] The Sangean ATS 909X



The older ATS-909/RadioShack DX-398 has a reputation of being numb on MW and SW without external antennas. My DX-398 is. SW is excellent with a short length of wire clipped to the whip. MW is great when used with an inductively coupled loop. Fortunately I paid very little for mine. I think it was a very poor value at full price.
