[IRCA] TP's & DU's for Thursday, November, 08, 2012

3 Radio Rossii long wave stations and 2 Alaskan weather stations received this morning.  MW was the usual stations with a unknown station briefly on 684. Conditions last year at this time must have been poor as I had no reports for November 5, 6 or 8th 2011. Last years 11/07/2011 receptions below. HLAZ 1566 still around at 1533 with poor signal. JOAK 594 also around at 1534 with man in Japanese and weak signal.  

153    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1345-1347  good signal with two men talking in Russian. HPAW. 11/08/2012

189    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1348 good signal with above program. HPAW. 11/08/2012

209    ALASKA, Yakataga, CYT 1350 fair signal with weather forecast. HPAW 11/08/2012

279    RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1351 good signal with two men in Russian. HPAW 11/08/2012

394    ALASKA, Kodiak KAK 20 1352 fair signal with weather forecast for Kodiak Island. HPAW 11/08/2012

567    JAPAN, JOIK NHK1 1355 steady weak signal with man/woman in Japanese. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

594    JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1356 weak signal with man/woman in Japanese.1358 fair signal. Followed by program music. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

603    REPUBLIC OF KOREAN & CHINA, 1359-1400 two weak Asian stations mixing about equal weak strength. Both signals faded by 1400. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

639    CHINA, CNR1 1504 poor signal with Chinese talk. Weak at 1506. KFI had faded douwn. NW ewe. 11/08/2012

648    RUSSIA, VOR 1503 weak signal with some domestic splatter. Assuming Chinese broadcast. NW ewe. 11/08/2012

657    DPR OF KOREA, 1452 fair signal with music and // 3250. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

684    UNKNOWN, 1454 very weak signal with woman talking. To weak to ID language. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012 


693    JAPAN, JOAB NHK2 1420 good signal on second scan of MW. "Conversation At Work" Japanese/English program. slight splatter. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

738    TAHITI, Radio Polynesie 1501 assuming the station with very weak signal with woman talking. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

774    JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1402 good signal with woman/man in Japanese. Still good at 1508. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012


828    JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1403 fair signal // JOUB 774. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

873    JAPAN, JOGB NHK2 1405 very weak signal // JOUB 774. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

972    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLCA 1408 very weak signal with man speaker. Moderate KUFO splatter.  W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

1566   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ 1417 good signal with woman choir. No splatter. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

1575   THAILAND, VOA 1457 weak signal with Asian talk. W-SW ewe. 11/08/2012

594     JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1405 fair signal with man in Japanese.
639     CHINA, CRN1 1444 weak signal and // 5945.
666     JAPAN, JOBK NHK1 1441 weak signal with man in Japanese.
693     JAPAN, JOAB NKH2 1406 weak signal with a lot of splatter.
774     JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1408 out of splatter with good signal with
          English Radio Conversation program.
828     JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1410 good signal with above program.
           Still around at 1528 with weak signal and English Radio Conversation.
1566   REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ 1446 weak signal with talk.
