Re: [IRCA] Apollo 13

OK, now I feel old.

I remember Gemini launches and spacewalks not to mention staying up late to watch Armstrong step off the ladder and blow his line.

Hate to make you feel older than you are, Ira, but I know you were older than six. The last mission in the Apollo program was Apollo 18, which docked with Soyuz in the summer of 1975. I mention that because it's the ONLY Apollo mission that I remember watching on TV back when it was happening. :)

Thanks. I was only six when the Apollo Program came to a close. I didn't know about the material being broadcast, but I do have fun reading over the transcripts from time-to-time. I don't know if the scenes were added for dramatic purposes or not, but it has always puzzled me whenever I see it. I meant to ask a long time ago and seeing it tonight on BRAVO made me think about asking. I'll ask Ron Howard the next time I see him. :)
