Re: [IRCA] [NRC-AM] Apollo 13

I see the shape of the speaker now. However, the questions still remains, where's the radio? How did Marilyn Lovell have access to the communications between the crew and the ground? Oh...and they moved the speaker to several places during the movie. Kinda' bugs me and I hope someone has an answer.

I had one, so I recognized it immediately. All they did was stick a NASA sticker on the front of it! Another Hollywood blunder.

They show a couple of scenes in the movie where Jim Lovell's wife is listening to the transmissions from the spacecraft. It's a grey speaker, with a NASA logo on it, but it never appears to be attached to a radio. Anybody know anything about this? Did the families have access to the communications? It puzzles me every time I see it.
