[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 10-27

Hello All,

Just when the Fall Season seemed to be heading for an early demise, the Asiatic TP's stormed back this morning with some of the strongest signals of the entire month. The Japanese, Korean and Chinese big guns were all pretty vibrant at times, and the unusually strong Asiatic signals continued for well over an hour here (from 1330-1435). 972-HLCA was the star of the morning with a monster signal at 1335, followed by 747-JOIB, the 1053-Jammer and 1134-KBS. The Chinese were back with fair-good audio on 603, 639, 738, 936, 1017, 1035, 1044 and 1377 kHz, while the Koreans on 558, 657 and 1566 had their decent moments also. Unfortunately the rain hitting my humble back yard Ultralight DXing setup tuned intense right about the time that the great TP signals pounded in, making it impossible to record anything more than a booming 972-HLCA at 1335. Overall, the vibrant band seemed like something straight out of the 2009 season-- and if not for the miserable weather hitting the PL-380,!
  8" FSL and hot-rodded ICF-2010, it might have been possible to go after some all-time new TP stations. Congratulations to Richard in Oklahoma for receiving his best TP audio of the season on his PL-310 and 7" FSL. Hopefully the guys in the local gang were able to track down some great Asiatic DX this morning, also.
