[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 10-27

Hello All,

The Asian propagation drop off noted by others yesterday made it here today, with yesterday's Chinese signals on 603, 639 and 1017 seriously down this morning. The band started off with some promise around 1300, however, with high-band signals from 1566-HLAZ, 1575-VOA and 1593-CNR1 doing especially well. During this period (at 1320) I was able to track down a fairly decent signal from (yesterday's topic of conversation) 1323-CRI, which was strong enough to confirm that the language was Russian, and not Korean. 1575-VOA hit some very impressive peaks from 1300-1330, with English lessons for the Asiatic language listeners. 738-BEL2 also had some fair peaks around 1340, with the usual Chinese call-in talk show host playing his theme music about every 15 seconds.

The sunrise enhancement period wasn't especially good, however, and the vibrant Chinese signals from yesterday never showed up. Neither 603-China or 603-HLSA had much of a signal, and the best that 639-CNR1 could manage was fair audio at 1435. 936-Anhui and 1377-CNR1 (both presumed) had some anemic audio in and out during this period, and 1053 did have an UnID TP playing music on top of the Jammer around 1415 (maybe this was Walt's Korean language TP from yesterday?). The session seemed to fizzle out prematurely around 1445, with most of the TP's well down in the noise-- a pretty stark contrast with yesterday's vibrant and long-lasting Chinese signals.
