Japanese dominated this dials this morning. Kind of strange that JOAB 693 500 kw could only manage a anemic weak signal when 50 kw JOHR had a fair signal. No sign of Radio Polynesie on 738 and only DU's heard was on 891 with 4TAB & 5AN battling it out with weak signals. 

153     RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1220-1223 fair signal with music followed by man in Russian. NW ewe.

180     RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1224 weak signal with man in Russian. HPAW.

189     RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1225 good signal with Jazz music. HPAW.

279     RUSSIA, Radio Rossii 1227 very poor signal with Jazz music. NW ewe. Fair at 1233 music. NW ewe.

594     JAPAN, JOAK NHK1 1234 very weak with woman in Japanese. Good signal at 1245 with woman in Japanese.

603     REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLSA 1328 weak signal with women singing. NW ewe. Great channel with no splatter this morning.

693     JAPAN, JOAB NHK2 1227 heavy splatter from 690. Weak signal with woman in Japanese briefly. NW ewe.

747     JAPAN, JOIB NHK2 1228 fair signal with English Radio Conversation Program. Moderate splatter. NW ewe. Signal good at times 1300 hour.

774     JAPAN, JOUB NHK2 1228 weak signal with English Radio Conversation Program. Program ended at 1229. NW ewe. Signal good during 1300 hour.

828     JAPAN, JOBB NHK2 1236 fair signal with English Radio Conversation Program. NW ewe. Signal good at times 1300 hour.


837     JAPAN, JOAK? NHK1 1322-1325 poor signal, seemed like Japanese? Rare station at old location. Just guessing on this one. NW ewe.

891     AUSTRALIA? JAPAN? 1334-1345. 5AN, 4TAB, jumble of weak stations. One station with man singing unknown language, not "The Breeze", 5AN or 4TAB. JOHK heard at previous location, but not here yet. Weak 5AN believed to be one of the weak stations and 4TAB with horse race call at 1345. 

972     REPUBLIC OF KOREA,1319 fair signal with man in Korean. NW ewe.

1053    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, 1314-1316 jammer is fair signal. Music underneath, but not DPR of Korea as it do not match SW // 3480. 

Guessing it might be JOAR Japan?

1287    JAPAN, JOHR HBC 1306 fair signal with woman in Japanese. Moderate splatter. SW ewe.

1503    JAPAN, JOUK NHK1 1309 weak signal with man in Japanese. Moderate splatter. SW ewe.

1566    REPUBLIC OF KOREA, HLAZ FEBC 1232 good signal woman in Japanese accompanied by organ music. NW ewe.

1575    THAILAND, VOA 1248 fair to good with man in Lao (PALs). NW ewe.
