Hello All,
TP propagation took another definite upturn this morning here, with
excellent conditions to the Chinese mainland, as well as to Japan.
Yesterday's threshold Chinese audio on 909, 918 and 936 kHz became fair audio this
morning, and the 675-NHK1 5 kW Japanese synchros won out over VOV-Hanoi on
the frequency around 1403, for an all-time new TP logging here. Apparent
Chinese stations on 684, 792 and 1107 kHz were close to audio, and the
1053-Chinese "restaurant music" station was giving the Korean Jammer a tough fight
for the frequency.
Around 1325 all five of the frequencies from 909-945 kHz had either
Chinese audio or strong carriers, and a search of the middle and higher
band's normally Chinese frequencies almost always produced the same result. The
short-duration sunrise enhancement at this modest inland location didn't
provide enough time to go after all of them, and if someone had been in
Masset or Grayland this morning, they probably would have had Chinese DX that
was off the charts.
The following were heard on a C.Crane SWP model (7.5" loopstick)
