Re: [IRCA] KKNX 840 AM Stereo

Dennis,

KDAC is // KUKI-Ukiah & KLLK Willits, all in spanish these days. Ft. Bragg is a very interesting village. We took the skunk train over there from Willits once, when the kids were teenagers. Wife had friends there who showed us the whole town :-).

I know what you mean about Highway 1. How far did you come down 1? I drove north of Bodega Bay (once) but by the time I reached Jenner the signs saying 'honk horn when rounding curve' + the 500 foot sheer drop off to the ocean & what looked like a one lane road convinced me to go inland through the logging camps (which WAS very interesting). The roads weren't any better but there were NO 500 foot dropoffs either.

Those redwoods trees sure kill the MW signals in the forests when driving through them. We drove 101 & 1 from Reedsport to Bodega Bay. One station that dominated the redwood area was KWSW 790. Very hard to drive highway 1 and tune the radio without going over a cliff and ending up on the rocks of the beach. Many places on Highway 1 to pull over and tune the radio. At a few places you could put a
