Hi Pat,

Was surprised when I tuned to KDAC 1230 in Ft. Bragg and heard Spanish.   My "Radio on the Road" book has them listed as talk.  The three other stations in Ft. Bragg are FM.  Those redwoods trees sure kill the MW signals in the forests when driving through them.  We drove 101 & 1 from Reedsport to Bodega Bay.  One station that dominated the redwood area was KWSW 790.  Very hard to drive highway 1 and tune the radio without going over a cliff and ending up on the rocks of the beach.  Many places on Highway 1 to pull over and tune the radio.  At a few places you could put a 
bog and dx, especially in the winter when not that many people would be around.
