Re: [IRCA] Forwarded request for DX information

Hi Doug,
I may be the only one that says this but I am using probably the same stuff
he used 40 years ago for receivers such as R-390A's, R-390's, SP-600's,
HQ-180's HRO-60's etc. all tube type receivers. I use two 400' LW's and a
Misek Phaser which for me makes all the difference in the world from even
ten years ago, I have gotten many TA's, Carribbean and South American
stations with these receivers and this antenna set up. I think the biggest
advance since he was DXing 40 years ago has been the phasers as I get
probably all the stuff that the guys with the modern SS stuff get. I don't
think the receivers of today are that much better than the best of yesterday
but offer many more features and are of course are much lighter and more
trouble free.
