Downloaded LAME zip file, unzipped it, and gave it a try. It wants to be
put on the command line.
Example: ">lame -f Okinawa Bandscan.wav Okinawa Bandscan.mp3."
I did that. Nothing happens. Running LAME.exe does nothing either.
Perhaps it wants to be part of the Goldwave program. $45 for the program.
If it works, fine.
Pricy for me, but I've got to get rid of these cassettes.

Exactly. Most of my recordings are 3-kHz or so bandwidths.
Any help from you or anyone else on converting WAVs to MP3s would be VERY, VERY
helpful.
