Bob,
Getting to X address in a Japanese city can be complicated. At least while
I was there, addresses were a hodge-podge. House and store addresses were
generally assigned in order of construction, so No. 1 Pinchbug Drive would
go to the first building constructed on that street.
While on Okinawa, I was asked by Mainlanders (Japanese down to Okinawa to
get a break from cold Mainland temps, and to try to get a suntan in 24
hours or less) where such-and- such was located. Me, an American. Do I look
like someone who knows where ANYTHING is? But I usually could help on the
store locations.
