	Fine tuning pots could be one solution I suppose.  I have never 
tried them.  On my Quantum phaser, I retro-fitted two 6-to-1 Vernier 
Reduction Drives. I also installed one on my K9AY indoor control 
unit. This gives me fine control.  The biggest issue is that you have 
to engineer a way to mount them. I might write a mini-article to 
describe how I did it if there is enough interest.

	(This is not an endorsement.) I purchased my vernier reduction 
drives from Ocean State Electronics on line.
