A strange morning. Very much sub-par. It's almost as if everything besides the Koreans were turned off. The upper half of the band was essentially dead. Even HLAZ was not propagating. Only 17 audios, most at poor
(6/10) levels. The Japanese were very attenuated compared to normal levels, especially the NHK1 stations. A few mysteries to ponder too:
567, 594, 612 (4QR fading in only at 13:53, but fair), 648 (couldn't figure out who this could be. Fair audio for just a few seconds at 13:35 and then down into the mud. Clean modulation), 747, 756, 774 (the best NHK2 but only a 7), 855 (not a bad signal at 13:19 //to SW 3250), 864, 873 (this one was neat. At 13:20, nice clean audio, not // to NHK2. Wondered about Vietnam. When rechecked at 13:37 and 13:46 // to NHK2 again), 972 (HLCA), 981 (wondered who this could be after 13:32), 1053 (jamming quite well heard after 13:32), 1134 (at 13:49), 1143, 1287 (prob JOHR), 1575 (presumed Thailand VOA at 13:45). That's it, unfortunately! .......Walt Salmaniw, Victoria
