[IRCA] A very good morning for TPs

Greetings,

One of the best so far this season. The highlights,

531 JAPAN, Morioka, JOQG totally armchair copy at 1345 UTC 9/15
(PM-OR)

540 JAPAN, Synchros //531 at 1345 9/15 (PM-OR)

558 PHILIPPINES, Metro Manila, DZXL fair over JJ/KK at 1355 9/15 with
man in Tagalog. (PM-OR)

612 PHILIPPINES, Cebu DYHP on top of JJ at 1357 9/15 with man in
Tagalog (PM-OR)

675 VIETNAM, Hanoi, First Network, with man & woman in Vietnamese,
mostly buried in splash, but readable at 1410 9/15. (PM-OR)

711 REP. KOREA , fair to good with woman in KK at 1412 9/15, KIRO
splat. (PM-OR)

738 KOREA/JAPAN, mix of commercial JJ and KK station here at 1406
9/15 (PM-OR)

801 GUAM, Agana KTWG, noted again this morning in passing at 1404
with American minister in EE 9/15 (PM-OR)

882 CHINA, strong Chinese trying to pass through the garble on the
channel. A couple off freq signals at 1412 9/15 (PM-OR)

891 THAILAND, Bankok, Radio Thailand here fair o/u JOHK/HLKB with
woman in Thai at 1405, later heard with beautiful Thai Inst. music 9/15.
Not hrd this season as good as in earlier years, but has been there
often of late. (PM-OR)

981 CHINA/PHILIPPINES, a mix of the two at 1409 9/15, but too much
splash from CKNW to hear any IDs. (PM-OR)

1026 PHILIPPINES, Quezon City DZAR, buried in the jumble with woman
in Tagalog and some EE words at 1402 9/15 (PM-OR)

1053 JAPAN, Nagoya JOAR, fair above jammer and other signals. The
jammer is not near the issue it was in previous years. They must have
problems or operatingwith lower power. Noted with man in JJ and slow JJ
mx at 1414 9/15 (PM-OR)

1062 PHILIPPINES, Quezon City DXEC, good in passing at 1417 9/15,
but fading down with telephone talk by man ancr and male caller. (PM-OR)

1134 REP KOREA/JAPAN, interesting this morning, as the Korean was the
dominant one on 1134 at 1410 9/15. Normally JOQAR is on top. (PM-OR)

The usual HLAZ 1566, Thailand 1575, were there, but not as strong as
other morning. The Big Guns were strong like JOAK 594 as usual. Nothing
new again, but I had hoped to pull some more signal out of the filipino
on 981, but not so. I do have one QSL'd there from back in the 80s.

Not a bad morning overall. A bit of everything, except no DUs. I did not
catch any. If they were there, they were buried under the stronger JJ/KK
stations.

73,

Patrick
