I don't have the answer to your questions but my beleaguered memory seems to recall that Ric's father was a minister (Methodist I think) in Cloverdale.  I knew Ric pretty good when we did
publishing together 1977-79, along with Segalas, Niebrun and other local 'weirdos'.  One of them being Jerry Nevis an undertaker from Brisbane (CA)...My young wife won Ric's overall respect by
constructing a Wedge Antenna from IRCA plans all by herself.
