NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANYTHING IS FAIR IN LOVE,
WAR AND DXing.
If I hear an ad for a business and the town is
given but not the call letters, I look up the station for the call. BUT, do keep
listening till a positive ID is possible. It might take days, but in time you'll
get it.

Subject: [IRCA] DXing Practices and
Ethics Question
Hi All,
Twice now, since moving a PC into my shack, I've
used live streaming audio to assist me in hearing and eventually ID'ing a
station on the radio. Both times I had a hunch about what station
I was listening to, but I wasn't sure, so I looked for more info on the
net. Voila! The station website has live audio... Knowing what kind of
programming is on or hearing someones distinctive voice can then be used to
whittle down the odds that you may indeed be hearing that station. In any
case, I did hear voice ID's direct from the radio and not the computer. Is
this wrong? (straight to the point question)
