[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 11-24

Asian sunset propagation that was excellent from 0930-1100 started hitting the skids around 1130, resulting in another mediocre sunrise session. During the bizarre early morning hours there were some interesting signals, though, including another strong mix of 738-HLKG and BEL2 on 738 around 1045.

Hoping for another exceptional early morning session I was et up in the rainy back yard by 0930, and the Asians certainly seemed to be cooperating. Although the more obscure Chinese (on 918, 927, 936 etc.) weren't up to yesterday's levels the Japanese were taking up the slack, with the NHK big guns on 693, 747 and 774 their strongest yet this season. 531-JOQG (somewhat unusual here because of 530-TIS station hassle) was easy to // with 594. 738-BEL2 (which generally follows Japanese propagation trends here) was potent during its local sunset, although co-channel HLKG matched its strength at times to make a wild snarl . Hopes of great conditions continuing until sunrise (like yesterday) fizzled around 1130, though, when all of the weak Chinese stations started to bail. Next to go were the second-tier Koreans on 558, 603 and 657 (mostly gone by 1200) followed by the weaker Japanese on 531 and 891. Finally by 1400 only a few Japanese big guns and 1566-HLAZ were still around-- a pattern all too familiar to those who have suffered through a lackluster November. You know it's pretty bad when even Paul can't hear 657-Pyongyang in Galena.
