----------Memory returns....(barely).......ERBA used to hold GTGs in San Diego periodically (we liked the bars) and Randy Seaver was a good host. The 1968 Convention was held at The Hollywood
Knickerbocker in Los Angeles. Weird, but fun. Vancouver was the host city (I believe in 1970), another convention whose memories linger on. I also remember a Sacramento ERBA GTG in
November 1967, inspired by the NRC Convention in Eugene Oregon several months earlier, that drew 37 people. I vaguely remember attending (with wife) a convention in Portland in 1977 or 1978 &
either a convention or an ERBA GTG at Sam's Hideaway in Portland in the late 60's...Remember the late Ron Schatz figureatively losing his shirt in a poker game as well as joining me in singing
our National Anthem at closing time (we thought it appropriate at the time--altho apparently no one else did).
