John, you described it very well, with the last 2-3 digits being erratic.
Without available schematics, I wanted to ask first before opening it up or
sending it away. I'm wary of tackling modern equipment unless I'm positive I can
handle it. "The part is electromechanical so they can wear out. It only
means you are a good "Tune By Hand" SWL." <smile> Definitely a
compliment, I'll take it, hi. I'll go for a knob over a key pad any time. Maybe
that explains why I like manual over automatic transmissions... more
