[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 10-26 (Conclusion)

Hello All,

Although Richard, Nigel and Dennis reported quite a drop off in Asian conditions this morning, the TP results here seemed to go somewhat against the trend. The strong Chinese propagation continued, along with several Mainland stations producing better audio than yesterday. 603-China (Hulun Buir?) was in a tossup mix with HLSA throughout the session yesterday, but it was clearly dominant this morning (hitting its peak around 1405). The CRI stations on 963, 1017, 1044 and 1323 also had improved signals over yesterday (in and out), and the Chinese on 918 and 927 managed ghostly audio. The Japanese big guns had a mixed performance, with 747-JOIB and 774-JOUB very strong at times, but 594-JOAK and 828-JOBB quite a bit down from yesterday. The Korean big guns on 972, 1053 and 1566 were very strong as usual, and there was no chance to hear the mystery station on 1053 reported by Walt and Richard. Like Nigel reported, 1575-VOA really had a major drop off from yesterday, with almost !
 no audio here after 1330.

The session started off with a bang at 1300 UTC when a monster carrier on 1323 kHz suddenly showed up on the modified ICF-2010 inside the house, which of course disappeared completely once the 12" FSL antenna was set up in the back yard. 1323-CRI was checked throughout the session in the hopes that it would somehow re-energize itself, and it did very briefly (around 1422, with the CRI Korean service). 603-China was forcing HLCA down into the noise all morning, managing one of its best signals of the season with Chinese female speech at 1405. 639-CNR1 also was back with good Chinese male-female speech around 1440, but slightly down overall from yesterday. Unlike yesterday 738 had no wild mix of 3 TP's, but a presumed HLKG (with apparent Korean speech, and bizarre singing practice by a woman) did manage some decent audio around 1435 (but with no KBS1 parallel readily available here, near 710-KIRO). Overall it was another interesting morning for the Chinese stations, although t!
he Japanese and Korean signals were slightly down from yesterday.
