The same thing happened here at the Cape Perpetua ocean cliff, Dennis. 1566-HLAZ had a meltdown-level signal at 1243 which was pegging the S/N readout nonstop on a "barefoot" 7.5" loopstick PL-380.

E100 barefoot. Higher channels on MW were much stronger than the lower channels 
this morning. 

153    RUSSIA, Komosomolsk, Radio Rossii 1235 weak signal with music. NW ewe. 
08/19/2013


180    RUSSIA, Yelizovo, Radio Rossii 1237 weak signal with music. NW ewe. 
08/19/2013


279    RUSSIA, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Radio Rossii 1238 fair signal with music. NW 
ewe.  08/19/2013


774    JAPAN, Akita, JOUB NHK2 1259 assuming the station with a poor signal with 
bits of audio getting through. Heavy splatter. NW ewe.  08/19/2013


1566  REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Cheju, HLAZ FEBC 1228-1230 good signal with man in 
Japanese. Heard on the Eton e100 barefoot. NW ewe.  08/19/2013


1575   THAILAND, Rasom, VOA 1243 weak signal briefly with woman in Asian 
language. Back at 1247 with fair signal. NW ewe.  08/19/2013
