[IRCA] TP for 18 Oct from Victoria, BC

Three short listening sessions here this morning. at 1255, 1330 and 1400UT, and unlike Gary's observations, things seemed a little better by 1400. but there sure wasn't much to start with, and I'd say this was a poorer morning. The lone Aussie (4QR-612) made its appearance at 1417UT.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least
briefly):

594 JOAK after 1400UT
774 JOUB after 1400UT
1566 HLAZ just after 1300, during JJ program; pretty much gone later

reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a
native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

828 JOBB

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be
understood by a native speaker

279 R. Rossii earlier
612 4QR at 1417
972 HLCA, not until 1416UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by
cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) :

567 JOIK //594
639 didn't seem //NHK or CNR1
873 JOGB//828 earlier
954 maybe JOKR
1017 maybe two stations, neither NHK
1134?
1269?
1422 JORF?

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter):

864, 1098 DU

best wishes,

Nick
