[IRCA] And now for something completely different - OT

I have had a Sony 32" HD Capable TV... for 4+ years...

My wife wanted the 36" - but I talked her down...
That's right... I talked my wife down from a bigger TV...

I can almost hear the snickers.

Anyway - we just got an HD-PVR today.
An HD-PVR is a HD Cable terminal with a Hard-drive for recording programs.

Now it was only a week or two ago that Walter Salmaniw loaned
me an Internet Radio - and for most analog radio listeners, this would
be considered quite threatening... I mean, the technology could be considered
the sign of the end times for the analog radio that we love so much.

Do not believe it for a minute.

A week ago I met with about 5 radio personalities that were huge in the 70's,
80's and 90's - and we talked about the future of broadcast radio. The audio
from those meetings with be available in some fashion in about a month or so.

Anyway - here I sit, with my wife, watching NHL Hockey in "1080i" - that is
over 1000 lines of resolution on the television -- above and beyond the 400+
lines I am accustomed to.

In short, I am amazed at the quality... on this little 32" Sony CRT Wega Trinitron...
And to think I eschewed a 36" version of video heaven.

Please ridicule me directly... off list. :-)

73,
