[IRCA] WHYL DX Test heard in Indiana

Sorry folks, I can't get into the lists, to post, over the weekend but I
did want to let you all know that I did hear the WHYL DX test. I tuned
in at 0058 EDT from my Indianapolis, IN QTH and thought that I heard
sweep tones but at 0100 several CW ID's at different frequencies. Those
really cut through the pile-up. Similar to what KAZ reported, I don't
know if I could have logged them without the morse. It just wasn't that
strong. I did hear 70-80's pop but a sports station and a talker were
in there on equal terms. I caught WHYL on both a Superadio and the Eton
e-100. New to my overall logbook. The next night, as I was getting
ready for bed, I logged KZIM 960 Cape Girardeau, MO, which is new to
the ULR log.

960 WHYL PA Carlisle 0100 3-15 Morse ID's preceded by a possible sweep
tone. Possible pop music but the actual programming just didn't punch
through. Thanks to Bruce Collier for this rare (for this season) DX
test. New! DH-IN

Time EDT. Eton e-100 and GE SR

Bruce - Thanks for the test. I appreciate it!

73,

Dave Hascall
Indianapolis
