[IRCA] TP for 25 Jan from Victoria, BC
Didn't seem quite as good a morning as yesterday perhaps, but lasted longer; low band signals peaked around 1545UT it seemed, and quite a bit still audible at 1600. Listened from 1430 to 1600 today
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):
594 JOAK, possibly the most consistent Japanese this morning
774 JOUB
828 JOBB
1566 HLAZ at 1541UT ; monster carrier as usual, but audio appeared earlier than usual
reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash or noise):
603 at 1517UT and following; two stations, one was HLSA per //558, and heard CC pips at 1600, but no CC // worked
639 CNR1 //5030 at 1545; something else an hour earlier may have been DU but direction quite diffuse
747 JOIB
873 JOGB at 1516UT
972 HLCA at 1508UT, usual big carrier
1575 likely VoA w/woman 1538; still something about 150Hz low on the channel as well.
1593 CNR1 //5030 at 1540
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:
558 HLQH //603 at 1520UT, but something else earlier, presumed JOCR
657 N. Korea //3320 at 1504, big hum on channel
936 likely Anhui at various times 1515 to 1545UT
954 likely JOKR at 1551UT
1278 seemed CC at 1527
1287 JOHR likely 1526UT and later
1377 CNR1 //5030 at 1602UT
1503 JOBK //594 at 1542, big carrier
Burbles in the splatter and noise:
189 likely R. Rossii at 1551; neglected to check earlier
567 JOIK //594 at 1442 and other times, never really strong
945 not //5030 or 594
1008, 1215, 1251, 1332 all with big carriers but little audio
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): lots
