Re: [IRCA] One Night Visit to Grayland

531 would also be a good DU freq to try. There is an ultralight precedent of sorts - I heard the 531 Aussie at Jordan River BC in the late 80s using a GE Walkman type radio. It had help, though - I wrapped a few turns of the beverage wire around the radio.

Hello All,

On short notice, a rare chance to visit the Grayland Motel has come up.

and, probably already on your way, Gary, but a comment in case you're still checking e-mail....

Conditions still seemed good this morning, with no changes apparent in the indices, so hope the DX gods smile on you.

Try for 612 and 1116 if you want to break the Ultralight distance records (especially if you have a barefoot unit with you); sooner or later someone will snag one of these Brisbane stations on the west coast, and maybe even further inland.

best wishes,

Nick
