Re: [IRCA] Sat 9/15 dx report

Don,

No problem. The only reason I mentioned the hosts on KGO, doesn't mean
I like them all. :) I consider myself a moderate. That is what a lot of
my liberal friends call me. :)
But the IBOC issue is something pretty serious to our hobby. I always
thought touch lamps, light dimmers, etc were the worst things, but I
have to rethink my thinking now. There are worse things.
What our future is, who knows? It does not look good, but anything can
happen if the complaints start coming in. I still don't know what I am
going to do in the longrun, if IBOC does not go away. Many thoughts have
crossed my mind from moving to DXing LW, SW, and other bands. I still
need a mess of countries on SW. But we are not alone, there are millions
of Americans, Canadans, Mexicans, and people who live in other nearby
countries that have to put up with HD noise. Time will tell. It just
started a couple days ago. I do know of several stations that are in
local markets that the hash is wiping them out within 5 or 10 miles of
their transmitter, like KXPA Bellevue WA. So some complaints will arise
out of that. But I don't give up easily. To me the big lady has not sung
as yet.
