point become a problem - whether or not they are HD themselves. HD
radio sales aren't going to suddenly spike upward over AM. 

When it hits the bottom line is when things may happen but how badly it
hits when is variable as is how it hits any given station vs. another.

If AM HD is going to die, that's the most likely, although it remains
distinctly possible that listeners will simply leave and never come
back, in which case AM overall might not outlive AM HD by much.

And yes, it is possible this could stretch out over a period of years.
