Re: [IRCA] [ABDX] Re: [NRC-AM] WBT IBOC test

I have to weigh in on this one. Calling a station to bitch on the air to them about running IBOC (at night or any other time) serves no useful purpose. In a time when we at the club level are trying to mend and build relationships with broadcasters, get stations to do DX tests in the middle of the night with weird tones and Morse code, and generally do us special favors like QSL reception reports, comments like Les mentions only tend to confirm many broadcasters' opinions that we are just a bunch of wacko, insomniac nuts who don't have anything better to do with our time than call these guys who are trying to make a buck and tell them to stop it. Some of us may indeed be wacko, insomniac nuts (myself included), but we still need to be positive about how we approach and interact with professional broadcasters. Remember: we'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

OK, end of rant. Back to the dials folks.
