Mike,

I remember Dave Williams and I talking about the Mid Winter thing back
in the 70s. From about Nov to Feb, cx can be bad. A guess the low A & K
have little effect during these periods. You probably have to deal with
the AU belt that far North too. I know I sure did in Seward AK in the
60s. Some nights the band would be totally dead except for groundwave.
