Re: [HCDX] Corrections/comments for April NASWA TropLogs
>>Here's an update on comments I made regarding R. El Buen Pastor-Ecuador. Per recent DXLD info, it is active.
4814.9 ECUADOR R. El Buen Pastor Saraguro 0147-0154 M ancr w/ ballads; just
barely making it thru strong CODAR using USB mode; 2/20. (Parker-PA)
Per info passed along by Rob Wilkner, via Glenn Hauser's DXLD, this station was
shut down months ago. There is a Brazilian close to the reported frequency.
>>Here are recent logs posted via DXLD 9-030, April 5th
** ECUADOR. 4814.98, R. Buen Pastor, Spanish religious pop-like misoc.
Accurate TCs by M between songs occasionally. 1034 ID mentioning FM by
M at end of ad/promo block. Another canned ID at 1050 between songs
which sounded the same as the one at 1034. Great signal this morning
but ruined by horrible QRM from ute below and of course the CODAR.
Faded after 1050 but still in at 1102. 73 (Dave Valko, JRC NRD-535D,
Hammarlund HQ-129X, Eton E1, T2FD, Windom, Dunlo, PA, USA, HCDX via
DXLD)
4815, Radio El Buen Pastor, 1045-1100 April 5, With a program of
steady MOR music, it could be religious too? At 1050 heard a canned
ID, but missed it. Again at 1053, a short canned ID by a female as
just, "Radio Buen Pastor". At 1100 canned promos and ads with another
ID using the echo effect. Signal was good during the period (Chuck
Bolland, Clewiston, Florida, WATKINS JOHNSON HF1000, DX LISTENING
DIGEST)
