[IRCA] TP 15 Aug Victoria version

Like yesterday, only someone turned up the volume...

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

972 HLCA peaking briefly at this level 1221UT, man and woman in Korean
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese 1250UT

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

747 JOIB man in Japanese 1246UT, then English lessons
774 JOUB English lessons 1208UT //828 747
1053 Korean jammer 1247UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

828 JOBB deep voiced woman in Japanese 1145-8UT, earlier than the other NHK2 stations, faded by hour ot pretty much just the pips, but seemed like English lessons afterwards, eventually /774 as it strengthened. 891 western pop vocal 1239UT, hints of something similar on 594, but that's wishful thinking
1116 4BC man in DU English 1250UT
1287 JOHR man talking on phone in Japanese, woman agreeing 1251UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

738 pop music 1248UT
1017 man and woman talking 1227UT, woman talking 1237UT; Korean inflection?
1206 man talking, DU English inflection, another man on phone 1252UT
1314 man talking, DU English inflection 1256UT
1548 4QD man talking after ABC news fanfare 1300UT
1566 man talking, sounded like DU English 1306UT
1611 man declaiming 1258UT
1638 maybe 5 long pips after a news sounder 1300UT, man, then woman talking, sounded echoey by 1303UT but not particularly Arabic, more so by 1304UT. Anyone heard these pips before?
1656 4 low, 1 high pip, 1300UT, talk by man too muffled to guess at language.
1665 man mumbling 1305UT
1701 a mess: man carrying on, woman talking, hum; 1302UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

 594 963 1098 1134 1323 1494 1503 1593 1629(hum) 1683

best wishes,

Nick
