I find John Cleary's voice to be similar to the fragments in Gary's clip. Maybe on e of the Aussies who knows his voice well can say more.

I think you might have been listening to Sunday Nights if it was
6WA...should have been 8:50 PM there.   And the Sunday Nights site
http://www.abc.net.au/radio/programs/sundaynights/ has programs
archived....but what exact time were they broadcast, when all are
supposedly at 10pm?

Very confusing.  Maybe Theo can make more sense of it...
