Re: [IRCA] Wellbrook Large Aperture Loop Antenna ALA100LN
On the other hand Walt, some years ago KKOL-1300 was logged from
coastal Hokkaido using about 16 feet of wire formed into a loop
around a window, feeding an ALA100, and driving the old Dymek
DR-333. It's a pretty nice antenna amplifier, even sometimes with a
sub-20 foot aperture.
(and come to think of it, my tentative WBOB test was using an ALA100
driven with a 54" on a side copper pipe loop)

Les, you will have no issues with signal strength. The ALA 100
works very well this way, but, the bigger the loop, the more signal
you will have. Mine are from 20' circumference to well over 100'. I
remember my first try was with a small loop of perhaps 10' around,
and I wasn't impressed. Big is better! Walt
