[IRCA] AM Broadcasters affected by RFI Issues

From Radio World.

AM Broadcasters affected by RFI issues: AFCCE Symposium Examines AM Broadcast Band Woes <http://www.radioworld.com/article/afcce-symposium-examines-am-broadcast-band-woes/273098> . AM broadcasters are calling upon the FCC to help reduce man-made RFI, which is negatively impacting their businesses.

Pressure like this can only help. But the reality is that electronics manufacturers, power companies, and similar industries all employ highly-paid lobbyists making regulation and oversight difficult for the FCC to pursue.

DXing from my neighborhood has become so bad that I'm seriously considering portable operation using SDR's to record TOH's in radio-quiet locations as the only viable means of continuing in the hobby. RFI comes from every house, including my own despite intensive efforts to reduce or eliminate it.
