[IRCA] TP 19 Dec Victoria version
Although there were a number of carriers at various times, the only
real DX was sunrise enhancement, and one needed to watch it
carefully, it jumps up very quickly, and disappears pretty soon
too. Mostly a disappointing morning though
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
no
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
no, though 774 was close
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
774 JOUB literally popped up at 1542UT with s/off chimes, lasted
about two minutes, then gone again
1566 HLAZ this was noticed a couple of times during the Japanese
program (1259, 1320UT), but the interesting arrival was another
quick one at 1558UT w/ man in Chinese, erratic signal as usual
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
1116 likely 4BC, some (not all) pips at 1400UT, followed by man in
what could have been DU English
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
594 828 891 972 1053 1242 1593
best wishes,
Nick
