You have great patience, Nick. I was checking the band both this morning and yesterday, and found no sign of Asian life during either session.

After three and a half months of a lackluster season it seems like the Asians have gone into their winter hibernation a little early. Until such time as one or two of them show up with some significant energy, I think that my own energy would be better spent on antenna work (rather than tracking down weak heterodynes on 972 and 1566). Yesterday morning was bad. Â Â This morning would take an award for
badness. Â Even carriers were very weak and rare. Â For some reason,
HLAZ became marginally audible around 1320UT for about 10 minutes,
with man and woman in unidentifiable talk, and organ music with
choral singing at 1330UT
