[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 10-2

Walt and Colin have already described this morning's propagation very accurately-- another sessionÂfeaturing theÂregular Japanese and Korean big guns. There wereÂa few second-tier Asians showing upÂweakly on 603, 657 and 738, but none of them could stick around for more than a few minutes at a time.

At my 1300 start time it seemed like the session might have some potential, as the usual bigÂguns on 594 (fair), 747 (fair), 972 (fair to good) and 1566 (good) were joined byÂthreshold-level signals fromÂ603-HLSA, 657-Pyongyang andÂa presumed 738-BEL2. These three second-tier Asians continued to slide in and out of the noiseÂfor the rest of the session, with 603-HLSA reaching aÂpoor to fairÂlevel withÂKBS2's deep-voiced male at 1346 (this was almost certainly Colin's UnID). AÂwimpy sunrise enhancement failed to boostÂanything, although 693-JOAB, 747-JOIB, 972-HLCA and 1566-HLAZ all managed good levels at times during the session. Best signalÂof theÂmorningÂwas fromÂ972-HLCA with its Korean male speech at 1351. Overall the session wasÂsomewhere between lackluster and lame, with very little variety in the Asian signals.
