Hello All,
First of all congratulations to Richard in Oklahoma for once again receiving 774-JOUB on his PL-606 Ultralight radio and 8" FSL antenna at his far inland location-- always an amazing achievement (especially in this solar-challenged season). Second of all, there seems to be a general issue with the IRCA list currently, in which messages are not being accepted or posted (at least for the past 24 hours, from this location). I haven't seen any IRCA reflector messages either on my email list or on the IRCA web site ( http://www.ircaonline.org ) since Tuesday evening.
As Richard discovered the Asian signals did have somewhat of a recovery this morning compared to yesterday, but it was nothing to shout about. Several big guns managed fair to good audio at peak sunrise enhancement around 1355, but in general the second-tier TP's stayed down in the noise. At my 1245 start time 594-JOAK, 972-HLCA and the 1053-Jammer were managing poor audio in and out but the other Asian big guns were still comatose. Increasing daylight around 1330 brought the usual 603 mix (HLSA and China) out of the noise at a poor level along with 657-Pyongyang with equally anemic signals, but none of these stations stuck around for very long. 594-JOAK, 693-JOAB, 747-JOIB and 972-HLCA all got somewhat of a boost late in sunrise enhancement around 1350, with 594-JOAK (fair to good) and 972-HLCA (good) doing the best overall. The only fairly unusual signal to show up was 1044-CRI, which also received the late propagation boost to come up to a poor level (in and out) around 1353. 972-HLCA was once again the best Asian performer of the session, with its male-female speech continuing at a fair level all the way until 1410 this morning (when all of the other TP's had long since bailed out).
