- Thread-topic: Rockwork 4 File Review-- More S9 Kiwi Signals
The totalÂlack of DU propagation to this valley location has provided additional motivation to review some of theÂobscure files of the two summer DXpeditions to theÂRockwork 4 ocean cliff site nearÂManzanita, Oregon. The following MP3 linksÂwere either not published, or were cut short to a much briefer version. All of these DU stations were received at potent strength levels, including 531-More FM (apparently for the first time in North America under this name, during the June DXpedition).ÂÂÂÂ
531 More FM Alexandra, New Zealand (2 kW) Totally dominant over the Samoan language station PI for a two minute period at 1214 on June 26th. A "More of that fun, on More FM" ID is at 26 seconds into the recording.ÂPI's signal returns in a mix at the end of the MP3

Â
558 Radio Fiji Suva, Fiji (10 kW) Near S9 level with typical Polynesian choral music at 1300 on 8-10. Distinctive 2+1 time pips at 20 seconds into the recording

Â
603Â Radio WaateaÂÂ Auckland, New Zealand (5 kW)ÂÂ Beautiful Maori music at 1202 on 6-29

More Maori music at 1211 on 6-29

Â
765 Radio Kahungunu Napier-Hastings, New Zealand (2.5 kW)ÂÂÂStrong level Maori music at 1207 on 6-27. A Maori network "Waatea" ID is at 41 seconds into the MP3

S9 level Maori music at 1204 on 6-28. This 2.5 kW overachiever acts like a Kiwi big gun on most summer mornings at the cliff.

Â
936 Chinese Voice Auckland, New Zealand (1 kW) Three minute run of potent level Chinese speech and music from this 1 kW
overachiever at 1225 on 8-10; an Ultralight radio DX distance record for 1 kW reception in North America

73 and Good DX,
