[IRCA] TP 24 Sep Victoria version

Back to all Asian, but a lot of domestic splatter as well, that I couldn't shake. My impression was that signals were not as strong this morning. Hard work with parallels yielded a couple of stations missed the first time through with live DXing.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK man in Japanese 1334UT
774 JOUB Chinese lessons 1337UT
1566 HLAZ man in Japanese, 1337UT, but sign off 1345UT was pretty strong also

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

567 JOIK woman in Japanese, man on phone //594 1337UT
828 JOBB Chinese lessons 1337UT
972 HLCA slow male vocal 1358UT faded to pips at 1400UT
1053 Korean jammer 1332UT
1287 JOHR man in Japanese 1356UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

747 JOIB English lessons 1245UT
873 JOGB Chinese lessons 1340UT
954 JOKR man in Japanese 1350UT
1242 JOLF woman talking, Japanese, then rock music; wicked splash 1336UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

702 NHK2 near imaginary, but woman talking and piano interlude //774 at 1336UT
738 Taiwan Fisheries. woman talking, bits of music, very rugged in splatter but //1143 1337UT
891 JOHK woman in Japanese //594 1339UT, at least one other station also
963 unID woman talking 1345UT CRI??
1134 man talking sounded like insistent Japanese 1349UT
1143 Taiwan Fisheries. 1335-1337UT woman singing, a jingle, woman in Chinese (apparently, as //738)
1269 JOFM/JOHW woman talking //1287 1346UT barely making it through IBOC hash
1314 man talking 1353UT, maybe Tagalog?
1503 JOUK man talking //594 1351UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

612 1098 1116 1161 1386 1656

best wishes,

Nick
