[IRCA] Puyallup, WA Ultralight TP's for 9-24

The Japanese big gunsÂonce again dominated the show this morning with huge signals from 594-JOAK and 693-JOAB late in the session. Other Asians were modest at best, however, with 603-HLSA, 657-Pyongyang and 738-BEL2Âsticking around the noise level, and the Korean big guns on 972 and 1053 somewhat under strength.

At my 1300 start time it was pretty obvious that the session would turn into another Japanese show, with the NHK signals from 594, 693, 747 and 828 already at good strength in and out (along with the usual regular 1566-HLAZ, with its Japanese service). Increasing daylight around 1315 brought 1134-JOQR above the Vancouver splatter to a fair level in and out, and both 603-HLSA and 738-BEL2 came out of the noise to weak levels. Unfortunately they stayed there throughout the session, while the usual Korean regular 972-HLCA was missing in action all morning.ÂThe 1053-Jammer sounded anemic, and seemed to have some JOAR competition at times during peak sunrise enhancement around 1330. Nothing much changedÂfor the rest of the session, with the Japanese big guns continuing to pound in while allÂother TP signals were paltry. Late on at 1340 both 594-JOAK and 693-JOAB went onÂbig S9 runs, whichÂis fairly common for 594 but which was the best signal yet this season forÂ693Â(which is typicallyÂtroubled byÂVancouver splatter). Everything except these two die-hards had faded byÂ1400, but they stuck around for a few minutes laterÂbefore following the trend. Overall it was a good session for the Japanese big guns, but mediocre for everything else.
