[IRCA] TP 21 Aug Victoria version
Mostly an Asian morning, with lots of DU hints later. First time for
some good signals this season, however brief they may have been.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
774 JOUB English lessons 1124UT
1566 HLAZ after hints of audio at 1119, 1143 and 1209UT, this
punched in 1230UT with Japanese program sign on and came back to this
strength several times in the next 15 minutes or so
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
738 Tahiti? music with a strong bass line, no vocals 1146UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
1287 JOHR man in Japanese, commercial of some sort? 1128UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
702 man talking, DU English? 1235UT
819 man talking, DU English? 1308UT
828 6 pips on hour with man talking also, seemed to be sports, maybe
even horse racing 1200UT
1035 man talking, seemed DU English 1307UT
1053 Korean jammer 1228UT
1116 4BC? man talking to another man on phone 1248UT
1242 man talking, seemed Japanese? 1248UT
1134 man talking, Japanese inflection 1237UT
1386 man talking, 1146UT, Indian inflection?
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
