[IRCA] Shortwave Logs

I know many on this list do just AM and that's what this list was intended
for, but I wanted to share my recent Shortwave logs.

I've recently really dug into shortwave DX'ing after a friend gifted me a
wonderful antenna that has really made a 500 percent difference. There are
audio clips with most loggings.....
Take a look at my logs below.

Some recent shortwave logs from Redding, CA using a Sangean ATS909X and
H-800 Skymatch Antenna

On 9595khz, at 12:04am on 4/6/2015 I picked up Radio Nikkei 1. The signal
was fairly steady about a 3 to 4 out of 10, there was a little fading but
not much.

I couldn't understand what was being said, but it was two men talking in a
laidback, conversational mode.

Here is a short clip of the audio:

On 9760 at 12:06am on 4/6/2015, I picked up Radio Nikkei 2. The signal had
a little fading but was stronger then Radio Nikkei 1. 9760 was putting out
about a 4 to 5 out of 10 signal.

On 9760 I heard what sounded like pop music. Here is a short clip of my
reception of 9760khz:

spanish type language I couldn't understand. It was a bit of a screaming
hell fire and brimstone type preacher on 11765khz. This would appear to be
Radio Deus e Amor from Brazil with 10kw.

On Saturday 4/4/2015 at 6:53pm pacific, I picked up something on 9665khz.

with 10kw. Here's a clip of my reception:

what was on 6160khz at the time, a friend and I surmised this was CKZU
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, a relay of the CBC.

with what was on 9630 at the time and talking to a friend, it was surmised

On Thursday April 2nd, 2015 at 11:50am on 15595khz, I picked up what
sounded like a church service. After listening for a bit, I heard several
mentions of "benedicta" by a preacher and "Ave Maria" said by the preacher
and chanted by the folks in church.

On Monday March 23rd, 2015 at 7:17pm, I heard a woman preaching on 6090khz.
The signal was received in this case WITHOUT the H800 Skymatch. The woman
preaching specifically mentioned Dr Gene Scott and I recognized her voice,
as Melissa Scott, his widow.

I don't have an audio clip of this reception. However, a week later when
connected to the H800 Skymatch Active Antenna, The Caribbean Beacon from
Anguilla was a solid, steady, loud 8 out of 10.
