[IRCA] TP 18 Mar Victoria version
Didn't have to be nearly so minimalist this morning, and even had a
sign of life from Asia
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not quite, but 4QR was sure close at times.
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
612 4QR heard a number of times this morning but maxed out about
1404UT w/weather forecast by man and "ABC news" mention by woman
738 Tahiti presumed w/ pop mx 1309UT
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
702 2BL woman and man DU English 1214UT; //612 at 1235UT, and leading
it by about half a second
909 Southern Star laid back vocals 1322UT, //963 a few minutes earlier
1116 4BC likely, man in DU English 1335UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
675 man and woman, possibly DU English, but no parallels 1324UT
765 rock mx 1327UT NZ?
774 3LO man and woman talking //612 1333UT
792 4RN? odd female vocal, sounded almost Spanish 1341UT
819 R. NZ National //837, man talking 1404UT
837 R. NZ National man talking //819.1404UT...a pair at 2 kw is
pretty good DX, and a bit better than 819 too.
855 4QB/4QO woman talking 1340UT //612 but lagging it by a second or so
963 Southern Star laid back vocal mx 1309UT //909
1566 HLAZ distinctive piano mx and woman talking at end of Japanese
program 1343UT; only Asian heard
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
567 576 684 756 801 891 1008 1026 1278 1503
best wishes,
Nick
