[IRCA] TP 18 Mar Victoria version

Not as good as yesterday, but not to be sneezed at. Best signals around 1400UT again, though the big guns were doing well earlier.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

594 JOAK woman in Japanese 1356UT
747 JOIB Japanese woman 1358UT
774 JOUB woman in Japanese 1343UT; s/off for NHK2 again today was 1440UT. Too bad as carrier was sometimes at good level even after 1530UT
828 JOBB woman in Japanese 1352UT
972 HLCA female pop vocal 1402UT; heard other times with Korean talk but not quite this level 1566 HLAZ huge s/off announcement woman in Japanese, "HLAZeto desu" 1344UT; pretty good with Chinese program starting, and back to full strength by 1401UT, man in Chinese

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

873 JOGB woman in Japanese //774 1408UT
1287 JOHR two men in Japanese, briefly this strong 1342UT; still audio traces at 1532UT
1503 JOUK man in Japanese, briefly at this level 1408UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

558 HLQH soft music //603 1413UT;
567 JOIK man talking//594 1411UT
693 JOAB woman in Japanese struggling past CBU splash 1405UT
702 NHK2 woman in Japanese //774 1348UT
1575 VoA likely, man talking, then woman, SE Asian language 1407UT
1593 NHK2 woman in Japanese 1412UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

531 JOQG man in Japanese //594 1410UT
558 JOCR likely, with woman talking, Japanese inflection 1412UT briefly level with HLQH
612 JOLK man talking //594 1415UT
891 JOHK man talking //594 1353UT
954 woman talking, sounded Japanese 1348UT
1179 man talking very quickly 1359UT, faded on hour, returned 1402UT; sounded Japanese, so JOOR?
1188 JOKP man talking //594 1341UT
1548 male country vocal 1414UT; likely 4QD, as it's Saturday, time for Saturday Night Country.

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

639 666 675 711 846 864 936 1035 1044 1053 1089 1116 1134 1269 1323 1386 seemed to be Asian; 1098 seemed DU

best wishes,

Nick
