[IRCA] TP 19 Jan Victoria version

Heard some of what Bruce did, but not all. As he pointed out, sunrise boost in a big way; I wonder if Dennis started listening just a moment or two too late, given his sunrise is about 15 minutes before mine. One other point to note is that all signals were better on the north Flag this morning.

pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly):

1566 HLAZ woman in CC 1545UT; audio started about 1506UT, but didn't get thunderous until 1540UT or so 1593 CNR1 man in CC 1549UT; still hanging in there fairly well at 1600UT w/pips and Beijing time check

Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):

1386 NHK2 mx box peaking 1543UT
1593 NHK2 mx box cutting up CNR1 at 1541UT

not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker:

1422 JORF likely, man talking JJ, but lots of splash 1544-1545UT
1494 unID male ballad 1548UT, followed by man in Tagalog?
1575 VoA men in SE Asian language, one on phone, 1546 and 1552UT; at 1600UT, Voice of America ID in EE

Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music)

1314 JOUF? woman talking, JJ inflection 1542UT
1512 NHK2 mx box 1543UT
1602 NHK2 mx box 1544UT

Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter)

828 1044 1098 1269 1359 1458 1503 1557 1584

best wishes,

Nick
