[IRCA] TP 3 Jan Victoria version
A little sunrise enhancement, as already observed by Walt and
Bruce. Most signals were quite erratic, and some of the carriers
were close to audio, but not quite there.
pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker,
at least briefly):
not this year, not yet
Reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it
understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise):
1566 HLAZ woman in CC 1526-7UT; this one had at least some audio for
the previous 7 or 8 minutes, but not so much strength nearer sunrise.
not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or
noise could be understood by a native speaker:
1242 JOLF likely, man in JJ 1535 and 1542UT
Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be
guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in
talk or music)
594 man talking 1540UT, maybe JJ?
1044 woman talking 1518UT, couldn't get language hints in splash
1557 rock mx 1550-1551UT
1575 VoA fanfare at 1530UT, talking in the murk at 1536, 1546 1550UT
1593 CNR1 nx sounder crept through at 1531UT, otherwise woman talking
Strongish het, no or "near imaginary" audio (either undermodulated or
ravaged by splatter)
738 774 1116 1134 1206 1359 1422 1494 1503 (one of several carriers
was 16Hz low)
best wishes,
Nick
